Feeds, also known as RSS feeds, XML feeds, aggregate content, or web feeds, have frequently updated content published by a Web site. They are typically used for news websites and blogs, but are also used to distribute other types of digital content, including images, audio or video.
Internet Explorer can discover and display streams as you visit websites. You can also subscribe to feeds to automatically check and download updates for later viewing. In Internet Explorer 8, when you add a Web Slice to the Favorites bar, you automatically subscribe to the flow associated with it.
